How to Use OctaLock on Hopsulator Duo

Quick Answer

To use the OctaLock threading system on your Hopsulator Duo, simply align the lid's threads with the cooler's rim, then twist clockwise until you hear a click. Reverse the direction to remove.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Step 1: Align the Lid: Place the OctaLock lid on top of the Hopsulator Duo can cooler. Rotate it gently until you feel the threads engage. Do not force it. Common mistake: forcing the lid when it doesn't align can damage the threads. If it resists, rotate slightly and try again.
2. Step 2: Twist Clockwise: Turn the lid clockwise (to the right) using steady pressure. You'll hear a distinct click when the lid is fully locked. Checkpoint: the lid should be flush with the cooler rim. If it's tilted, the threads are not fully engaged.
3. Step 3: Remove the Lid: To remove, twist the lid counterclockwise (to the left). If it's stuck, try turning it slightly clockwise first to break the seal, then counterclockwise. Common mistake: pulling the lid straight up without twisting can stress the threading system. Always twist first.
